For Probate Attorneys

Your estate representative should move the estate forward—not become another problem to manage.

Probate Ops focuses exclusively on estate administration. We provide an accountable professional option when no suitable estate representative is available, the current administration has failed, or counsel is carrying work that belongs with the estate representative.

Problems we help solve

When the representative becomes the bottleneck.

A difficult estate representative can turn routine estate work into months of unanswered requests, missed tasks, avoidable hearings, and uncompensated administrative follow-up.

01Pressure point

You are chasing the representative

Calls go unanswered, requested records never arrive, and routine decisions require repeated follow-up from counsel.

02Pressure point

Administrative deadlines keep slipping

Inventories, accountings, tax work, creditor issues, and closing tasks remain unfinished while the file stays open.

03Pressure point

Estate property is becoming a liability

A vacant, occupied, or neglected home needs security, insurance, maintenance, access, valuation, cleanout, or sale coordination.

04Pressure point

Counsel is carrying the administration

Your team is spending legal time tracking vendors, locating documents, managing relatives, and handling work that should belong to the estate representative.

05Pressure point

The estate needs a neutral decision-maker

Family conflict, competing interests, or a lack of qualified nominees makes appointment of another relative impractical.

06Pressure point

A successor is needed

Resignation, incapacity, removal, death, or prolonged inaction has left the estate without an effective representative.

A cleaner working relationship

Keep the legal work with counsel and the administration with the estate representative.

Probate Ops is designed to be reachable, organized, and accountable. The objective is to give counsel what is needed to advise the estate and complete filings without carrying the representative’s workload.

Before making a referral

Clear answers for counsel.

Appointment authority and procedure vary by jurisdiction. We can review the administration problem with you before anyone commits to a particular course.

01What types of fiduciary appointments does Probate Ops accept?

Only appointments as estate representative for a deceased person’s probate estate. Probate Ops does not offer guardianship, conservatorship, power of attorney, trustee, or other ongoing fiduciary services.

02Does Probate Ops replace estate counsel?

No. Counsel remains responsible for legal advice, filings, advocacy, and court strategy. Probate Ops serves as the estate representative and handles administration, coordination, property, records, communication, and execution of the approved plan.

03What should I include with a referral?

A case number or petition, the will if one exists, the current estate representative’s status, known assets, interested parties, urgent deadlines, property concerns, and a short explanation of what is preventing progress are helpful starting points.

04Can Probate Ops serve as the initial or successor representative?

Potentially. Availability depends on the governing documents, statutory priority, nominations or consents, qualification requirements, and court approval in the state where the estate is pending.

05How will communication with counsel work?

The goal is predictable communication: prompt responses, organized records, clear decisions, early notice of problems, and regular updates tied to the estate’s next required action.

06How is estate representative compensation handled?

Compensation is paid from the estate when permitted by applicable law and approved as required. Some states use statutory commission schedules, while others review a reasonable fee based on the work and circumstances.
